Both my parents are teachers and since I began to speak my mother always corrected my grammar.
I can explain grammar in both English and Japanese, when required. I can motivate students based on their reasons for learning English as well as their personal interests. Some students have good memories and learn quickly and others do not so reviewing what has already been taught and checking comprehension is very important. Students who do self study between classes will improve faster, too. Studying both Portuguese and Japanese has also made me think about the differences in grammar between various languages. Before I came to Japan I also studied some psychology in the fields of child development and education. The last important point is that the lessons should be fun. By focusing on dreams, interests, creativity and building good relationships, step by step, mountains can be climbed!
Hello. My name is Daniel and I have been in Japan teaching for 14 years. I can speak Japanese but want to talk with you in English. Do you like traveling, foreign movies, western music and culture? Maybe you need English for your job. Maybe you want your children to enjoy English and make new friends. Whatever the reason, come to the school and say "Hello". We will be happy to listen to you.
I enjoy Japan and would like to meet more people and help them communicate with people from around the world to give them more exciting opportunities in their lives.

No two students are the same so I like to change my lessons to fit my individual students. For example some kids need help with their phonics while other have problems understating the words. Regardless, I like to keep the lesson fun because I feel that people learn better when they are not under pressure.
I grew up in Japan and have gone to an international school all my life. My native language is English. Because I have lived in Japan for so long, I understand the feelings of Japanese people and I can help them understand English better.

I was born and raised up by my dad and mom. My mother was a teacher. She discussed and instructed us (my elder brothers, sisters and I) in the English language. She also taught us at home after school so from there, I got some lesson characteristics together with my experience as a teacher. Lessons especially for non-native speakers must be fun; interesting and participatory.
Some students are very fast in understanding of any subject (English, Maths) while some are not; So in my opinion, I would like to say that it is very important that students follow along. In this case, reviewing of previous lessons is highly recommended.
